About the Role
We are looking for a Mid Senior Compositor to join our growing team at Midnight VFX in Athens.
You will be part of Greek and international film and episodic productions for clients such as Amazon Prime, working in an environment that values creativity, precision, and teamwork.
As a Mid-Senior Compositor, you will take full ownership of complex shots and ensure the seamless integration of CG and live action elements. You will work closely with our VFX Supervisors and Leads to deliver photo realistic results that meet the highest standards of visual storytelling.
Responsibilities
• Combine live action, CG, and FX elements using Nuke to produce final quality composites.
• Perform advanced keying, rotoscoping, cleanup, paint, and multi pass integration.
• Match lighting, color, and depth to create natural and believable composites.
• Collaborate with CG, FX, and DMP departments to ensure smooth workflow and consistency.
• Participate in daily reviews and implement feedback efficiently.
• Contribute ideas to improve internal tools, techniques, and compositing workflows.
• Support and guide junior artists when needed, sharing experience and knowledge.
Skills and Requirements
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in compositing for film or episodic work.
• Excellent command of Nuke and solid understanding of the full compositing pipeline.
• Proven ability to integrate CG elements and work with ACES or other color managed workflows.
• Strong knowledge of keying, tracking, and two dimensional and three dimensional integration.
• Exceptional eye for detail, color balance, and visual realism.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a collaborative team.
• Capable of managing multiple shots while meeting production deadlines.
Nice to Have
• Experience with deep compositing or stereo projects.
• Familiarity with Python, custom gizmos, or in house tools.
• Understanding of production tracking software such as ShotGrid or Deadline.
